Some of you will remember that we announced two special giveaways at the beginning of German Literature Month.
Two people will win two sets of books. One will be the winner of the “Pick and Mix Category” and the other will be the winner of “Best Post”.
While I will let Lizzy announce the winner of the “Pick and Mix Category”, I’m announcing the winner of the “Best Post”.
It wasn’t easy to find a winner because there were so many outstanding posts, but we both named the same without much thinking.
And here goes:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am happy and a bit embarrassed. Happy because this is my first participation in such a big blogger event – and even in my dreams I wouldn’t have imagined to win the prize for the best post. Embarrassed because I am not sure if I have deserved it. I agree, the level of the reviews was excellent, there were plenty of interesting blog posts that would have equally deserved the prize at least as much as myself. And all wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for our two competent, well-organized, and always encouraging hosts Caroline and Lizzy. It will be a pleasure to participate again next year…

As for the translation: According to the publisher, translation rights have been sold so far to the Czech Republic, France (Editions Piranha), Italy, Netherlands, Spain, USA. So there will be also an English version (by Pantheon/Knopf) soon I suppose.
