She still refused to look at him, but she could feel the heated flush of anger again in her cheeks. “Cooperate with the guards. This is just a quick post about something that’s been on my mind for a while. It’s sad that there are so many preconceived ideas about YA novels, ideas that show those who speak about them, very often haven’t read any. I’m writing for adults, children and Young Adults and in one of my writer’s […]

The Names is my favorite book of the year, would be on my list of the Best Books of the Decade so far.
Oh my goodness. This passed me by completely. I’ll have to look at it then. Thanks for letting me know.
I have The Silver Book in the TBR so great to see it made the list! I’m hoping to get to it soon.
It sounded great. I like her writing. But it will have to wait until next year.
I’ve only read a handful of newly published books this year, but a few of the books on the Blackwell’s list do interest me – particularly the Han Kang, which seems to have had excellent reviews.
I’ve read a few newer books but not one is on the list. Btw – I just received the Barbara Noble novel and am really looking forward to it.
I’ve read and reviewed What We Can Know, but it’s not on my Best of 2025 List. I liked the view of the future, bleak though it is, but was less keen on the poets and Oxford literati.
Thanks for letting me know. He’s hit or miss for me.
